Anna (Shear) Shearing is a Production Designer, Set Designer, and Set Decorator working between Canada and the UK. Anna is from Vancouver, Canada which is located on the unceded territories of the thexʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She has a BFA with Honours from Dalhousie University where she studied Set Design and Technical Theatre. Following University she interned in Set Designer, Michael Levine's studio for the summer and fall of 2019. During the pandemic, while back in Vancouver, Anna pivoted to film. Since moving to film she has worked on several projects as a Production Designer. Including the feature films Starwalker (2025), Les Filles du Roi (2023), King Baby (2024) and the one hour comedy special Mae Martin: SAP (2023). She has worked as a Production Designer on a number of shorts and music videos, including Cuello (2021), Yang (2021), Teon Gibbs’ and IAMTHELIVING'S Where Do We Go From Here, and Boslen's Levels (2022). In 2022 Anna was nominated for a Leo Award for her work on Cuello, and in 2024 she won the Leo Award for Best Production Design in a Motion Picture. In her private life, Anna has long been a visual artist, working in acrylics.
