Anna (Shear) Shearing is a Production Designer, and Set Decorator working between Canada and the UK. Shear is from Vancouver, Canada which is located on the unceded territories of the thexʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She has a BFA with Honours from Dalhousie University where she studied Set Design and Technical Theatre. Following University she interned in Set Designer, Michael Levine's studio. During the pandemic, while back in Vancouver, Shear pivoted to film. Some of Shears credits include Production Designing for Starwalker (2025), Les Filles du Roi (2023), King Baby (2024) and Mae Martin: SAP (2023). In 2022 Shear was nominated for a Leo Award for her work on Cuello, and in 2024 she won for Les Filles du Roi. In her private life, Anna has long been a visual artist, working across a variety of mediums.
